Klyden
One of the most enjoyable tasks we have is planning breeding groups, carefully selecting pairings of ram and ewe for excellent lambs.
Then there are the unexpected “breaking and entering” pasture events where determined rams find a way for that brief time to mix with the lovely ewes of their choice. Klyden is one of those happy outcomes. He arrived as a big single lamb, standing in minutes and nursing like a linebacker. Despite his size, Klyden is a careful boy, never first and always stopping to think through before he makes his move. I can almost see the wheels turning in his head. As a wether, Klyden's mystery father doesn’t matter and we can just celebrate Klyden as Klyden.
