Our fave ways to use combination bumps into fiber art projects

We've been offering our combination bumps for years and one of the questions I get most often is about the best way to process the different fibers into a project.

Like most creative things, there are many ways to make something beautiful. One of the best treasures of fiber community is the sharing, so today I wanted to post the first combo testing by my customer and friend, Salena, done years ago with a Romeldale CVM and de-haired llama combo. The lovely shawlette is a favorite of mine today... I'd wear it 365 if not for summer. With special thanks to Salena K, here are photos she shared of her process.

1
The Blend Friends testing bump included 4 oz of naturally dyed Romeldale CVM combed top and 1 oz of washed, de-haired llama for the shawlette.

2
Salena hand-carded into lovely blended bands of color for rolags.

3
Beautifully hand spun into 400+ yds of glorious color.

So, so lovely, shawlette.
Soft, lively, cuddly, amazing. I love it!
